Las Cuevas de Taulabé son parte de las 24 cuevas de origen natural que existen en el municipio de Taulabé, un rico municipio ubicado en el kilómetro 140 de la carretera que une a San Pedro Sula con Tegucigalpa. A pesar de haber sido descubiertas desde 1969, es hasta años recientes en que realmente se han acondicionado para recibir visitantes de una forma segura.

Como muchas cuevas, el interior de Taulabé es húmedo y caluroso. Gracias a los juegos de luces que se han instalado, el visitante goza de un escenario casi mágico, donde la admiración por la naturaleza se funde con un silencioso respeto. Aunque se desconoce la longitud total de la cueva, muchas personas han llegado a calcular en unos 11 kilómetros su profundidad.
