La Iglesia de San Martín de Tours es el monumento más importante de Ajo y está situada en el Barrio de su mismo nombre. Su construcción se inició a finales del siglo XVI y fue finalizada a mediados del siglo XVII. Es un monumental templo de estilo gótico renacentista formado por tres naves, cubiertas con bóvedas de nervadura y apoyadas sobre columnas, y cuatro capillas adosadas. Posteriormente en el siglo XVII fueron añadidos la portada, el pórtico y la torre campanario. Guarda en su interior, situado en su altar mayor, un interesante retablo del siglo XVII de estilo romanista realizado por Rodrigo de los Corrales, Luis de Peredilla y Juan de Pobes. (Espero que las líneas verticales sean verticales)
