South Bank of the Thames near the Oxo Building, with a view of St Paul's across the River.

This is a nice place to walk, in the evening the trees are full of lights and at low tide people often make sand sculptures in the beach that will appear against the River side. (This was shot about half-way to high tide.)  The Oxo Building features the famous tower and the lower two levels are full of craft and art shops. The City of London can be seen straight downstream, to the right of St Pauls Cathederal. Note more of the skyscrapers are in Docklands, even further downstream - there are building restrictions around St Pauls to make sure it remains a standout landmark. The Red and White Bridge is Blackfriar's Bridge, with the new Blackfriar's Railway Station immediately behind it.

This area is also one of the sites for the Thames Festival, which takes place each September (and is on as I post this). Alas this year there will be no Night Carnival or closing Fireworks, which is a huge loss.
