The "pyramids", called "gruieți" by the villagers, are a number of seven hills, 20-30 meters, arranged on two parallel rows (3 south, 4 north) in the Brașov County.

There are many legends attributes to these hills because of their arrangement, form and soil color (yellow). Some say that these hills are ancient celts tombs (Wietenberg culture settlements have been found nearby - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wietenberg_culture) or remains from old dacians settlements. The villagers attribute them to the "Giants" that crossed Olt river.

No scientific research has been made so far and I hope they won't do in the near future, so that these hills will be preserved as they were.

In the south, near the hills, you can see Olt river (the longest river flowing exclusively through Romania) and in the distance appear the mighty peaks of Făgăraș mountains.
