The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is Venice's first cathedral. Campanile of the cathedral was built in XI century and is 55 metres high. In Summer 2011 campanille was still closed to visitors.

I climbed at the top of the North tower of Saint-Pierre cathedral (157 veeery steep steps), but the panorama is well worth the effort !
