Wat Arun was built in the days of Thailand's ancient capital of Ayutthaya, and was originally known as Wat Makok ("Olive Temple"). Despite its name (from Aruna, the Hindu god of the dawn), the best views of Wat Arun are at sunset rather than the dawn, and there are restaurants and coffee shops across the river that make fine viewpoints.

Nice Angle, from David angle of view you will see how steep and high Phra Prang is. So we have to risk our life for it. :-) Thanks David, I like to stay off the scene if I could, but sometime cannot, like to short in concert or the Bangkok countdown, if I move someone will hit the tripod. any suggestion? Still want to see what Bernard looklike ; )
