Koka-mon Gate, Nikko Mausoleum Rin-no-ji Taiyuin

This gate at the entrace to the inner temple is built in a novel style of the Ming Dynasty, China.  It is also called "Ryugu-mon" (or "Dragon Palace Gate").  The inside is painted in wax color, the outside in yellow, red and blue.  As the name of the gate suggests, there is a picture of celestial beings.  Like Yomeimon, this gate was named by the Imperial Court.
